Position Summary:American Equipment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant (Seasonal role- 3 months) to join our team in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement operations by ensuring effective communication with suppliers, tracking purchase orders, and maintaining an organized system for procurement documentation.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the procurement process by following up on purchase orders (PO) with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain a centralized tracking system for purchase orders, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding material availability, delivery schedules, and any potential issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand material requirements and assist in scheduling deliveries to meet project timelines.
  • Support the procurement team in evaluating supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as needed to assist in procurement decision-making.
  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to orders, invoices, and deliveries.Required Skills/Abilities
    • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.Work Environment
      • Office environment- sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
      • Occasional site visits in industrial environment- light walking, lifting, crouching maybe involved
      • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, non-exempt position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. What we offer:We offer competitive compensation.
